Terms of Service — Pixel Academy

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Creative Pixels ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of Pixel Academy (the "Platform"), accessible at creativepixels.in and its subdomains. By accessing, browsing, registering, or enrolling in any course on the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account or enroll in a course. Users between 13 and 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements and that all information you provide is accurate and current.

3. Your Account

3.1 Registration

Some features of Pixel Academy are available only after creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

3.2 Local storage

Pixel Academy is offline-first. By default your progress, enrollments, and preferences are stored in your browser's localStorage on your current device. If you clear browser data or switch devices you may lose this data unless cross-device sync has been enabled for your account.

3.3 Accuracy

You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information and to promptly update any changes.

4. Courses & Content

Pixel Academy offers interactive courses across Design, Marketing, Backend, and AI & Product. Each course is structured in modules. Module 1 of every course is free — you may access it without payment. From Module 2 onwards, the course is paid and requires enrollment via a one-time payment.

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue courses, modules, or features at any time. We may also add, remove, or re-price courses. Already-enrolled students retain access to the version of the course available at the time of enrollment for the lifetime of the Platform, subject to these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on Pixel Academy — including but not limited to course videos, text, quizzes, lab code, illustrations, the Gini AI voice teacher, design system, logos, and the Pixel brand — is owned by Creative Pixels or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access the content for your own learning. You may not:

Reproduce, redistribute, or publish the content
Share your account credentials with others
Record, screen-capture, or re-upload course videos or lab material
Use the content to build a competing product
Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

6. Payments & Enrollment

Course enrollment is processed through our payment partner (currently Razorpay). By paying for a course you agree to:

Pay the full amount listed at the time of purchase, inclusive of applicable taxes.
Provide accurate payment information.
The terms of the payment processor, which handles card, UPI, net-banking, and wallet data directly.

Successful payment grants lifetime access to the purchased course on the device used for enrollment (and on any other device where you log in, if account sync is enabled). Prices are listed in Indian Rupees (₹) unless otherwise stated.

7. Refunds

Digital product — no refunds. Because course content is delivered instantly and in full on successful payment, enrollments are non-refundable. Please review the full Cancellation & Refund Policy before purchasing.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other user accounts, or our systems
Upload viruses, malware, or any code that disrupts the Platform
Scrape, mirror, or harvest content without written permission
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
Circumvent paywalls, enrollment locks, or any technical protection measures

Violation may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access without refund.

9. Third-Party Services

Pixel Academy uses third-party services including but not limited to Razorpay (payments), Google Fonts (typography), and may integrate with additional services over time. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for any breach of these Terms or any conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to the Platform, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any paid enrollments, except as required by law.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted availability.

Pixel Academy is an educational platform. We do not guarantee any specific learning outcome, job placement, salary, or business result. Your progress depends on your effort and external factors beyond our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Creative Pixels, its founders, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the specific course giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the event.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Creative Pixels and its officers, directors, employees, and partners from any claim, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your use of the Platform, or your violation of any rights of another party.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email (if we have your email) or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
